Scalea's council has approved funding for resident families with children aged 3–36 months attending authorised nurseries, micro-nurseries or other early-years services outside town. Published information says no such facility operates within Scalea, and eligible expenditure is expected to cover 1 January through 31 December 2026.

The proposed annual ceilings are €3,000 for ISEE up to €25,000, €2,500 for ISEE between €25,000 and €40,000, and €1,500 above €40,000. The payment may be combined with Italy's Bonus nido, but total support cannot exceed fees actually paid and receipts will be required.

A key practical limitation is that the municipal department still has to publish the public notice and application form. Families should therefore monitor the official Comune di Scalea website instead of submitting unsolicited applications. Awards will depend on available funds, with ranking primarily based on ISEE.
