Neuron × force
The neuron stands for thought and connection. Dyne refers to a unit of force: an idea joined with the ability to put it into motion.
A small unit. A long history.
In 1873, a British Association committee recommended a system based on the centimetre, gram and second: CGS. Its unit of force became the dyne. One dyne accelerates one gram by one centimetre per second squared. Today, the newton is the principal unit: 1 dyn = 0.00001 N. The name Neudyne keeps this connection between thought and force.
