Room and loudspeaker placement
Direct sound combines with reflections in a room. The result depends on speaker and listener positions. At low frequencies, room dimensions may produce pronounced peaks and dips.
Before changing components, try placement changes and measure several positions. A deep cancellation often cannot be sensibly corrected by simply adding power or EQ. Speaker response therefore does not guarantee identical sound in every room.
