Drivers and their parameters

A driver converts an electrical signal into motion and sound. Woofers, midrange drivers and tweeters have different operating bands. Diaphragm size affects radiation and directivity, but does not alone determine bass extension.

Fs, Qts and Vas are important for bass enclosure design. A complete system also needs response, impedance and phase data. Excursion and thermal handling are different limits; a power rating does not replace them.
