On September 8, OpenAI announced Images 2.5 and began its rollout. It lists Flare and Sunburst API variants, emphasizing more precise edits and better detail preservation.

The system card describes input and output safeguards and the risks of more convincing fabricated images. Safety test results come from the developer and do not guarantee error-free output.

We see potential in producing variations of a design: a team can explore composition without repeatedly starting over. Before publication, it must also compare details that were supposed to remain unchanged.

Practical value should be measured through accepted images, corrections and total working time. Faster individual generation does not automatically mean a faster finished assignment.

Optimistic editorial estimate: a small creative pilot can be assessed within 1–4 weeks. Wider use depends on output consistency, cost and rights to source material.
